Designing for complex web applications is not the same as designing marketing websites. The user is often a professional who uses the product repeatedly, and the measure of success is how efficiently they can accomplish their task -- not how impressed they are by the visuals.

Our web app design process starts with a functional audit. We want to understand what the application does, who uses it, what the most common workflows are, and where users currently get stuck. If you have analytics data, we review it. If you have user research or support tickets, we read them.

From there, we produce a navigation and information architecture map -- the structural skeleton of the application -- before touching any visual design. This step prevents the most common and expensive design mistake: a visually polished interface built on a broken architecture.

Wireframes follow. We wire the most important and complex screens first because that is where the hardest design problems live. Simpler screens are templated from established patterns once the architecture is proven.

Visual design builds on the wireframes. We define a component system in Figma that scales across the full application. This means the 12th screen takes less time than the first because the patterns are already established.

Handoff is thorough. Your development team receives organized Figma frames, annotated with spacing and behavior notes, a component library with states documented, and an interaction spec covering hover, loading, error, and empty states.
